Google India Mobile SMS Search: 5GOOG Launched Like USA's Google-411

The Search Engine Giant Google Inc. has started its SMS service in India, "5GOOG" its similar to one of its popular services Google-411 in USA. 

Its nice to see that Google is spreading its wings higher in Asia and thats too in India. This service is started as a surprise to many Indians as no 'rumor', Buzz or news was in the Air of it, prior to it, liked the much hyped GPhone! It started 'suddenly with an announced! 

The Google describes it as: 
Text message your search query to 54664 ('5GOOG' on most devices) and we'll text message back results.
Google SMS is a premium SMS service; queries sent to 54664 will be charged at the following rates:
Aircel: Rs. 3.00 
Airtel: Rs. 2.00
BPL: Rs. 3.00 
BSNL: Rs. 0.80/1.00 (post-paid/pre-paid)
Reliance: Rs. 3.00
Note: Incoming messages from Google are not charged.

So in India, with a Cell Phone you could search Google using SMS service. When you need to search something in your locality or nearby while on the travel you have to simply SMS to 5GOOG (on this No. 54664) alongwith your search keywords and the text message will hit your inbox with the relevant reply to your query. 

This is a chargeable service and Not come for Free : ( The cost of SMS is being described as above. You only have to bear the SMS charges and Google search results for you are free. There is a list of Tags / Categories under which you can effectively make a Google search.

This Google SMS service is presently only available to Airtel, Aircel, BPL, BSNL and Reliance subscribers located at Indian Metros: Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
